Bharatanatyam dance performance by Ms. Deepika, an accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer and also an actress.
Bharatanatyam is a very ancient and traditional form of South Indian dance and has very intricate foot work. It is one of the oldest living traditions of Indian dance.
Veena recital by Vidwan Anandakumar and his troupe. Vidwan Anandakumar is an accomplished and veteran Veena player. He will present both traditional and contemporary music compositions using the veena.
Veena, or the Indian lute, is one of India's oldest musical instruments. Veena is mentioned in The Vedas (Hindu holy books) as far back as 1000 B.C. It is the favourite of the Hindu Goddess of Learning, Saraswati, who is always shown with a veena.

Dance Drama - Bhakt Prahlad. Dance drama performed by Shivkumar and his troupe.
Prahlad drove his monstrous father to a murderous rage. He insisted on praising Lord Vishnu who was considered a sworn enemy by his father Hiranyakashipu. When he tried to punish his disobedient son, Hiranyakashipu's potent poisons turned to nectar while his lethal weapons fell harmlessly away. In this tale of bloodthirsty revenge, Prahlad's only defense is his devotion which dramatically puts an end to all evil.
