K.A. Chang is a Partner at Idea Factory and Advisor to Caerus Global Search. His advisory role includes consulting on Talent acquisition, reengineering and designing, facilitating leadership innovation and organization development practices.

KA brings to his role an exceptional set of skills and experience developed over 30 years as a HR Leader with extensive regional and corporate experience.

Formerly, he was the Executive Vice President & Chief Human Resource Officer, Singapore Exchange (SGX) and Senior Vice President, Group HR & Organization Development, Norske Skog PanAsia Co. Ltd. 

He is the author of the ‘Organizational Leadership Innovation Roles’ framework that is now used in many Innovation workshops. At the global level, he was jointly instrumental in the formation of the Global Leadership Consortium that brought together top executives from Alcan, Honeywell, FNB of S.A and PanAsia. KA has worked in diverse industries, spanning semiconductor, chemical, apparel, sanitary ware, newsprint manufacturing , airlines and financial services. At PanAsia, he was a member of the Board of HPL China and core team that oversaw the design, development of a USD 330 million investment to build the fastest newsprint machine in China.

KA holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business & Economics from the College of Notre Dame (USA). He was formerly a Board member of the Civil Service College of Singapore. He is presently the Director of HopeSprings Pte Ltd, a social enterprise dedicated to helping the under privileged.

Mr Chang is presently the Director, HR Planning Development for Tiger Airways Holding Ltd. He is tasked with the challenge to develop a human capital structure that nurtures talent infusion, rallies recognition and an organization that embodies the cultural spirit that aim to create a remarkable experience (CARE) for its customers. He has extensive HR experience and has worked in seven diverse industries namely; semiconductor, chemical, apparel, sanitaryware, newsprint manufacturing, financial services and airlines in his 39 year career.

Apart from HR, he has held other roles such as the Regional Coach Head of Reengineering at American Standard - Far East, engaged in manufacturing management and led the Global Quality Enhancement Strategy (QUEST) at National Semiconductor in Asia during the early 12 years of his career.

His accomplishments in organizational development and design work is featured in the global process management coach change programs where he helped designed at American Standard, the Talent identification (TQ) and development processes (Troika) at Norske Skog PanAsia, the Singapore Exchange, and the Customer Valuation process at Praxair Inc, Asia.

An active practitioner of business driven AL, he has partnered with numerous global corporations, GEL-Net, Center for Creative Leadership, The Idea Factory etc, to design and develop global and regional leadership consortiums. Prior to joining Tiger Airways, Mr Chang was Executive Vice President Chief Human Resource Officer at the Singapore Exchange. Before that, he was Senior Vice President for HR OD at Norske Skog PanAsia. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Economics from the College of Notre Dame (USA) and currently serve as a Director on the Board of Integrated Plastics Technology Pte Ltd.
